Training Requirements

Every coach is required to get, at a minimum, the following training/certification for each level below:

• U5 - Safe Haven & Intermediate Coach*
• U6 - Safe Haven & U6 Coach
• U8 - Safe Haven & U8 Coach
• U10 - Safe Haven & U10 Coach
• U12 - Safe Haven & U12 Coach
• U14 - Safe Haven & Intermediate Coach
• U19 - Safe Haven & Intermediate Coach*
• Progressive - Safe Haven & Intermediate Coach*

*Advanced Coach is preferred, but not always feasible.

Training Opportunities

U6, U8, & U10

Part 1: Classroom or Online - In Friday Class or Online @ http://aysotraining.org
Part 2: Field Training - Take Weekend Class

U12

Part 1: Classroom - In Friday Extended Class Only
Part 2: Field Training - Take Weekend Class

U14 = Intermediate

Often 3 days, one classroom and others are on the field, if not able > go to U12 training.

Safe Haven Training

We do not normally teach Safe Haven locally, so it is likely that you will have to take the certification online. Like earlier the long directions can be found on page 14 of your parent handbook and here is the quick version:

Pre. You can find your AYSO ID at https://eayso.org Login & you can find it in your registration documentation. 1. Go to http://aysotraining.org & follow the path for coach training with ID. 2. Work through the online portal and take the quiz at the end to pass. 3. Check your certification at https://eayso.org Login & find certifications information.
