Coaches needed!

In order for this to happen though, coaches and assistant coaches are needed. Without parents stepping up to coach, teams will not be formed. Just as with a regular-season AYSO team, a Progressive Play coach is the primary contact person for the team. He/she works with the parents to determine when the team practices and which tournaments the team enters. Any volunteer willing to help with a Progressive Play team, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it prior to Saturday, April 26th. \n This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Team tryouts will be held at Western View/Adams School Grounds for all age groups on Sunday, April 27th, 6-7:30pm.

Players should come wearing their current team jersey and come dressed to play (shin guards, etc.).

On or prior to tryout Sunday, a Progressive Play registration form is due back to the shed. Registration forms are available on-line at the Region 149 website or at the Safety Tent.

If a player accepts a position on a team, they will be asked to pay a $120 registration fee. This covers a new jersey, socks, and most, but not necessarily all, of the summer tournament fees. The $120 will be collected by the Team Coach or Treasurer after the teams are formed. For year-round Progressive Play Teams, additional registration fees will be collected in the Fall and again in the Spring to cover league and player fees. Each player also needs to provide their coach with a copy of their Birth Certificate. Oregon Birth Certificates can be obtained by calling the Oregon Health Division, Office of Vital Records, (503) 731-4095, or www.VitalChek.com.

For most teams formed, the first tournament play will start with the Kidsports Memorial Day Tournament, Springfield, OR, May 24-25. The summer duration of Progressive Play season is determined by the coaches, parents and players of the team.
